Crack monitoring can be required when a crack appears on a wall of a property, if a crack starts to widen or extend, or when multiple cracks appear. Cracks are often indicative of an underlying structural issue which needs to be addressed.
Installation and recording
We can install crack monitoring studs or gauges under the supervision of an engineer or independently, or at the request of a property owner. We then routinely return to the property to record the results. All data is tabulated and made available to the engineer or client either by email, post or securely online.
We aim for the same technician to return to each property and when callipers are being used we use the same set wherever possible.
